Madeleine Hunter

Madeleine is a freelance set designer and artist.  Since graduating from an MA at Central St Martins in Performance Design in 2011, she has embarked on a number of creative roles. Her work includes creating sets for film, music videos, fashion editorials, live events & catwalks. Examples of work can be seen at @maddiehunter_setdesign

She formed design collective Nous Creative, which is a London-based multidisciplinary studio specialising in creative direction, set, and production design. The company was founded in 2015 by Ioli Sifakaki, Madeleine Hunter and Natasa Stamatari, bringing together their diverse creative backgrounds which include fine art and print, product design, retail display, set and costume design.

Madeleine has over 8 years experience teaching extra curricular art to children and young adults. Alongside her own personal practice, she has continued her own artwork and teaching, and particularly enjoys teaching 3D projects that involve transforming recycled materials and rubbish into beautiful objects. Examples of this can be seen @therubbishmama on instagram.

She recently travelled to Right to Dream Academy in Ghana with Josie Hunter to teach a week of creative art workshops to the pupils aged 8-17 and paint an 8 metre mural inspired by local surroundings and the goals of the academy. She loves botanical illustration, as well as fine detailed acryclic & mixed media painting for her own art work & loves to teach this.
